Nation's Largest Urgent Care Provider Marks Major Milestone Ahead of 40th Anniversary

BIRMINGHAM, AL / ACCESSWIRE / April 21, 2022 / Bolstered by the growing demand for affordable and accessible healthcare, American Family Care (AFC), the nation's leading provider of urgent care, occupational medicine, and accessible primary care, just hit a major milestone with the opening of its 200th franchise location in Hickory, North Carolina.

The Hickory location is independently owned and operated by DX Management, LLC managed by Larry Kugler, John Tacker, Jack Fromm, and John Kugler. "The opening of our seventh AFC clinic in North Carolina is meeting a crucial demand for more accessible and affordable healthcare in and near the Charlotte Metro Area," explains Larry Kugler, CEO of DX Management. "Like our other locations, AFC Hickory provides a comprehensive list of medical services that save families time and money, and our objective is always to offer fast, efficient care in as little as 30 to 45 minutes."

DX Management also owns and operates 10 other AFC clinics throughout Tennessee, including locations in Chattanooga and Knoxville.

"We congratulate Larry and his team on the opening of AFC Hickory and for the distinction of being our 200th franchise location," said Jason Badyrka, Vice-President of AFC Franchising. "Less than 15% of brands reach the 200-franchise milestone. This achievement is not only a testament to the need for the essential healthcare service we provide at AFC, but also to the success and stability of our franchise model."

American Family Care offers state-of-the-art treatment across a broad range of services, including primary care. AFC medical providers treat and diagnose illnesses like the flu or a cold, injuries and accidents, including broken bones, and help patients manage a variety of health conditions ranging from arthritis to diabetes to high blood pressure. AFC also offers pre-employment physicals, drug screening, and treatment of work-related injuries.

The brand, which will mark its 40th anniversary in June, continues to quickly surpass company milestones with record-setting franchise development growth. Including the Hickory clinic, AFC has opened 18 new locations in the 2021-22 fiscal year. AFC is projected to open 32 more locations by end of 2022, and the brand is on track to expand to 500 locations in the coming years.
