
Brian Hairston
Brian Hairston has been an owner-operator at McDonald’s since 2002. He began his McDonald’s career over forty years ago as a thirteen-year-old crewperson working in his parents’ restaurants during school and summer breaks.
Brian and his mother own and operate seven McDonald’s restaurants throughout Northern New Jersey. He takes pride in running outstanding restaurants, giving back to the community, and creating opportunities for others. Brian also believes in sharing his vast knowledge of the business with others. He has helped others become McDonald’s Owner/Operators.
As a second-generation Owner/Operator, Brian is loyal to the McDonald’s brand and determined to continue to build upon his family’s rich legacy. Brian has earned many community and business awards throughout his career.
Brian serves as President of the New York/New Jersey Black McDonald’s Owner Operators Association (BMOA). He is the East President of the National Black McDonald’s Operators Association (NBMOA), which represents African American franchisee owners from Florida to New York State. He also serves as President of the New York Metro Coop Owner/Operator Board, which includes all franchisee owners throughout the New York Tri-State area. He is also a lifetime member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, and the NAACP.
Brian Hairston was born in Charlotte, North Carolina. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, he moved to New Jersey to join the family business. Brian is a graduate of Winston-Salem State University in North Carolina. Brian is married and the father of two daughters.
