NY Registration and Domestic Trade Show Exemption

The State of New York Office of the Attorney General - Department of Law requires that in order to exhibit at IFE, you must have valid a Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) and be registered in NY. Companies who have a valid FDD that does not include NY, must file an application for a temporary exemption. The Department of Law requires that we provide them with proof of registration for each company.

UPCOMING DEADLINES

*Please note that the deadlines below only apply to Franchisors.

March 29th, 2024

- Companies not currently registered in NY and that plan to apply for Initial NY registration

April 30th, 2024

- Companies currently registered in NY and that will apply for registration renewal.

- Foreign companies, not currently registered in the United States, and plan to apply for the International Trade Show Exemption

May 10th, 2024

- Companies not currently registered in NY and that plan to apply for the Domestic Trade Show Exemption
