TAPinto - Mokafe Coffee House Opens Doors in Paterson

Abe Ayesh, a native of Yemen with a passion for quality coffee, took the initiative to bring authentic Yemeni coffee to America.
"I always thought about bringing real good coffee from Yemen, where coffee originated," he told TAPinto Paterson. "Many people don't realize that coffee drinking started in Yemen before spreading worldwide. It's a passion of mine, and with the mayor's encouragement, I wanted to be the first to start this venture. I hope that in the future, we'll be all over America, and I'll proudly say that Paterson was where we opened our first coffee house. I'm excited to be part of Paterson and provide the community with quality coffee. It's the best in the world, sourced directly from farmers, allowing our customers to know who grew their coffee."
"We're going to have different choices of coffee," he added. "But, as a guy from Yemen, I like to provide Yemeni coffee, American coffee, and Guatemalan coffee."
Ayesh plans to advertise job openings and provide training to potential employees, including coffee roasting and preparation, to ensure they deliver exceptional service to customers.
"Yemen is considered the birthplace of coffee, the original mocha," Mayor Andre Sayegh said. "On National Coffee Day, we're here to celebrate the fact that we have a lifestyle café in the city. People can come to this very vibrant place that adds to the character of South Paterson, a bustling section of our city. I'm glad you've decided to invest in us and contribute to what already exists here."
