Decontamination Service Of The Year
Established in 2014, Sanondaf UK provides whole-room decontamination via three unique forms of advanced technology – a fogger device, electrostatic spray and a vacuum. Sanondaf treatments have been purposefully designed to be significantly more efficient than traditional methods such as a deep clean, which is often time-intensive and carries many risks such as cross-contamination. The company’s hydrogen peroxide solution is authorised for use as a biocide by the ECHA (European Chemicals Agency). It can be used on any type of surface materials, including electronics, stainless steel, soft furnishings, food preparation surfaces and the air itself.
Unlike other disinfectants (such as chlorine compounds, chlorine dioxide and quaternary ammonium), Sanondaf’s solution naturally decomposes into water and oxygen, ensuring no harmful chemical residue remains. Treatments are non-corrosive, contain no toxic ingredients and the application methods ensure they are not harmful to people, animals or the environment. Sanondaf has offices strategically located across the UK, enabling the team to be within close reach of Liverpool, Leeds and Harrogate, Newcastle Central, Cardiff, Kent and London Docklands. The company works with a number of specialist providers across a wide range of sectors, including the NHS, leading universities and pharmaceutical companies.
The judging panel was particularly impressed by Sanondaf’s efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic. Decontamination services have become essential to almost every business regardless of sector in the last 12 months, and since the pandemic began, the company has attended more than 4,000 calls in relation to COVID.
Treatments have been delivered across all parts of the mainland, on the Western Isles and offshore on platforms and vessels. Sanondaf’s professional and highly skilled team are available 24/7 and provide a fast and effective service that ensures minimal disruption to a client’s normal operating hours.
Due to supply chain difficulties in 2020, the company was also unable to source additional decontamination devices and so designed, manufactured and tested a completely new unit that has now become the business’ primary device. In addition to Sanondaf’s own technicians delivering treatments, the company has leased out several of its new devices to venues such as the NHS and veterinary hospitals.
