Dr John P Hayes

Dr. John P. Hayes is one of the few people in the world to have been a franchisor, a franchisee, and an advisor to franchise companies. In a span of more than 35 years, he is one of the most published authors on the subject of franchising. He is the author of numerous best sellers at and the only person to have authored an article about franchising for Reader’s Digest magazine. 

At the International Franchise Expo in New York City, sponsored by the International Franchise Association, he teaches the most popular seminar: The A to Zs of Buying a Franchise. 

Dr. Hayes is the co-author of Franchising: The Inside Story, the first book to explain how to investigate and acquire a franchise opportunity. He has written other books with franchisors, including You Can’t Teach A Kid To Ride A Bike At A Seminar, with David Sandler, founder of Sandler Sales System; and Start Small, Finish Big, with the co-founder of Subway Restaurants. He is the author of three e-books devoted to franchising: Buy “Hot” Franchises Without Getting Burned, 12 Amazing Franchise Opportunities for 2015, and 101 Questions To Ask Before You Invest in a Franchise. All three titles have been #1 best sellers in the Franchise category on Amazon.
