HomeVestors® Opens Ken D'''Angelo Training Center To House
DALLAS - (June 15, 2006) - HomeVestors® of America, Inc., the company famous for its "We Buy Ugly Houses"® billboards, recently opened the Ken D'''Angelo Training Center at its corporate headquarters in Dallas. The training center is named after HomeVestors' late founder Ken D'Angelo.
Every new franchise owner from across the country visits Dallas for a two-week training program, called "Ug University," named after HomeVestors' mascot and advertising-figurehead, Ug, the caveman.
"We have developed one of the best training programs in the franchising sector and the only one of its kind in the real estate investment industry," said John Hayes, HomeVestors' president and CEO. "I believe our franchisees will be impressed when they experience the new, fully equipped Ken D'Angelo Training Center. Naming the training center after Ken is a meaningful way to remember him, and it seems appropriate because the future of the company takes shape in the training center."
With theater-style seating for 100 or classroom seating for 50, the training center features state-of-the-art audio and video capabilities, a lounge area for trainees, a break room with seated dining, and office space for 14 members of HomeVestors' training and support team.
