PostalAnnex+ Reaches Out to Veterans
Veterans are eligible for discount on franchise fee
February 7, 2005 – San Diego – PostalAnnex+, a leading business services and packaging franchise, has joined the VetFran program, which offers discounts and incentives for franchise ownership to armed forces veterans.
Through the VetFran program, a joint effort between the International Franchise Association, the U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs and the U.S. Small Business Administration, veterans can receive a 20 percent discount off their first standard PostalAnnex+ franchise fee.
"This is a great opportunity for a veteran to start a new chapter in their life, whether they are just returning from Iraq or Afghanistan or have been out of active duty for a while," said Mike Watorski, vice president of franchise development.
The VetFran program was started in 1991 by Don Dwyer, founder of The Dwyer Group, a respected franchise organization. The program recognizes that skills learned in the armed forces translate well to business.
"Being successful in business requires a strong work ethic, discipline and organizational skills, which are qualities that veterans understand and possess," Watorski said.
