Lawn Doctor Supports GreenCare for Troops
Free lawn care services offered to families with loved ones serving in the Middle East
(HOLMDEL, NEW JERSEY- August 18, 2006) - The nation’s leading Lawn Care, Tree & Shrub Care and Pest Control specialists have enlisted to donate free lawn care services to families that have a loved one serving in the Middle East. At a time when hardship can fall on families, Lawn Doctor is aiding in the efforts to alleviate some of the day-to-day stresses.
GreenCare for Troops is a nationwide outreach program sponsored by Project EverGreen, a non-profit organization representing green industry professionals. The program is designed to match affected families with local lawn and landscape contractors who have volunteered their services.
Local Lawn Doctor franchisees who have signed up will be providing Lawn Care, Tree & Shrub Care and Pest Control services to select military families in their local communities for the length of the family member’s deployment. Franchisee Jim Duffy, Lawn Doctor of Lee and North Collier Counties in Florida, said, “It’s giving back to the community and that’s important.”
Families interested in applying for the GreenCare for Troops program should contact their local Lawn Doctor at 1.800.4.LAWN DR (1.800.452.9637). Participation is limited.
