Phoenix, AZ - Jersey Mike's Subs officially opened its ninth restaurant in Phoenix. Jersey Mike's owners, Steve Rosenfield and Linda Nash know the importance of community relations and celebrated their new ties with the area during the grand opening on Wed., November 16. They opened their first Jersey Mike's in Chandler on October 19, 2011.

To commemorate the event, the new restaurant, located at 18 E. Camelback Rd, Suite 18, hosted a 5-day fundraiser from Wed., Nov. 16 through Sun., Nov. 20, with proceeds supporting Central High School and Madison Meadows Elementary School. Anyone who had a fundraising coupon received a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution. Coupons were distributed throughout the community and in local newspapers.

Nash and Rosenfield see their partnership with the local schools as an opportunity to highlight their community's exceptional education programs. "Both schools have outstanding academic rankings and are open to the public with several students from outside the district. They represent the finest in public education and have a strong tradition in academic excellence. They empower their students to think critically and connect with the community," said Nash.

All franchise owners find ways to support their neighbors and employees are encouraged to volunteer their time and talents as well.
